  • 741 villages brought under electricity coverage in 16 yrs in Brahmanbaria

    Palli Bidyut Samity has brought a total of 741 villages under the electricity coverage in the district in the last 16 years.

    This was disclosed at the 15th general meeting of the samity held on Saturday.

    The meeting was told that the samity brought a total of 741 villages in Sadar, Nasirnagar, Ashuganj, Akhaura, Kosba, Nabinagar, Bancharampur and Bijoynagar upazilas under the electricity coverage
    since its inception in 1995.

    Some 1.67 lakh connections were provided during the period through setting up 13,000 transformers.

    The meeting was also informed that the rate of realising electricity bill is 96.54 percent.
