Japanese entrepreneurs have expressed their interest to invest in various sectors of Bangladesh. The interest was when a DCCI trade and investment promotion delegation met the leaders of Tokyo Chamber of Commerce in Tokyo, Japan on Monday to explore bilateral trade and investment, according to a message received here today. DCCI president M Sabur Khan, president of Tokyo Chamber of Commerce Toshio Nakamura and Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo Rashedul Islam were, among others, present in the meeting. During the meeting, Sabur Khan said the long-cherished friendly relation between Bangladesh and Japan can further boost trade and investment between the two countries. He said the DCCI has established a Help Desk on its own premises to facilitate trade and commerce for both local and foreign entrepreneurs. The DCCI president urged the Japanese investors to invest in pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, windmill, infrastructure, agriculture, and technology sectors of Bangladesh taking advantage of the ample opportunities provided by the Bangladesh government. Toshio Nakamura said the DCCI Help Desk will play an important role in expanding trade of both the countries and the exchange of bilateral trade delegation will boost trade relations. He, however, expressed his deep concern over the political instability of Bangladesh.
