The World Bank and the government of Bangladesh will jointly hold Country Performance Results Review (CPRR) for World Bank supported projects in the country on Saturday.

Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad and World Bank country director Ellen Goldstein are likely to represent their respective side at the joint review to be held at the NEC in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

The CPRR takes stock of results being achieved under Bangladesh’s development programme supported by the World Bank’s FY11-14 Country Assistance Strategy (CAS).

In line with the goals of the Sixth Five-Year Plan Bangladesh, the CAS seek to contribute to poverty reduction through accelerated, sustainable and inclusive growth, underpinned by stronger governance at the central and local level.
