    Police arrested a man accused of killing his 90-year-old father from a residential hotel at Brahmanbaria town late Monday night. The son Mohammad Nurul Mamun, 45, has been on the run since March 25 after he allegedly hacked his father Md Rezaul Islam to death at his 8/1 Gubindo Das Lane in Old Dhaka under Bangshal police station. According to the case Mamun got angry after his father refused to pay him money to buy drugs. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bangshal police station led by Inspector (investigation) Abul Hasan, raided hotel Caffe Abdullah at Brahmanbaria town and arrested Mamun from a room. He was brought to Bangshal police station in Dhaka. Inspector Hasan said Mamun has admitted to killing his father. He said a magistrate of Dhaka CMM court has recorded his confessional statement under section 164 of CrPc at noon. Hasan said Mamun was sent to Dhaka Central jail.
