The textile testing laboratory of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) got the accreditation certificate from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories of India. This certification will enable the textile testing laboratory of BGMEA to proclaim international standards in testing, said a release on Saturday. BGMEA has set up the laboratory as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and 10 percent of the profits from the laboratory will be spent on workers’ welfare, the release added.
