    BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday took Iftar with professionals and eminent personalities of the country. Khaleda, also a former Prime Minister, hosted the Iftar party in honour of professional leaders and distinguished citizens at the city’s Bashundhara Convention Centre. Entering the party venue around 6:30pm, the BNP chief exchanged pleasantries with the invited guests. A munajat was offered before the Iftar seeking peace and prosperity of the country. Nearly 1,500 different professionals, including teachers, doctors, engineers, ex-judges, journalists, former military officials, agriculturists, cultural personalities, ex-bureaucrats and business, and distinguished citizens were invited to the party.
